The First Week

So we made it to Japan with no major difficulties and managed to set up house without a problem. We had three days to settle in and get our bearings before starting training. The area we're in in Nara is nice, we live about five minutes from the train station and are two stops from downtown Nara. As expected our apartment is tiny, but livable. It took us a while to get used to the whole sleeping on the 2 inch thick futon thing, but now we're doing just fine. I'll have pictures for you soon. Training went well, if a little fast. It was tough at the beginning, but once we worked on rhythem and timing we found that teaching the lessons is pretty straightforward.

KC and I are off to the old temples in Nara to see the sights. Pictures soon!
